Seasons change, and so do I, storms may come, yet they pass by. Rain falls heavy, still I grow, Yesterday is just a word, the now is all I know. Pain tried to change me, while keeping me bound, With echoes of silence, a haunting sound. With every scar it taught me to let go, Yesterday is just a word, the now is all I know. Healing means removing the me of the past, breaking old patterns that never could last. I rise from the ashes, I bloom as I grow, Yesterday is just a word, the now is all I know. The rain births flowers, the night births the day, through every shadow, I carved my way. I stand in the present, my spirit aglow, Yesterday is just a word, the now is all I know.
